“When people throw stones at you, you turn them into milestones” : Sachin
“Sachin Tendulkar”, the name says it all. He is perhaps the only contemporary cricketer about whom so much has been written and so much has been read but you still end up craving for more. For someone who is in his 38th year it is not easy to keep the passion going, however here is the man who has an endless appetite of scoring runs for his country. The only man to score a double hundred in One Day Internationals, when quizzed about people still questioning him over his inability to make India win the matches, he famously said, “When people throw stones at you, you turn them into milestones”. Without taking much of your time now, we are presenting some milestones reached by the Master at the end of Border Gavaskar series 2010. These milestones in no way can replace the happiness he has brought on not just a billion Indian fans but fans all around the world. The player who is loved in each and every country, SACHIN TENDULKAR.

Good one. Difficult to pick from the whole lot, but will go for both 241* and 214.
Endless list of Milestones! Well compiled!!
@ Ritesh
I think Ken Barrington has reached a century with a 6 on 4 occasions.
Well compiled stats..
Some other less known landmarks that he achieved are
Yes..
In addition to that he added a few more which we did not expect him to achieve..
1) Reached the highest average among current players.
2) Has the maximum runs, boundaries and sixes for the year.
3) he equaled his personal best of 4 sixes in a match (last time he did it against aussies in chennai)
4) became the highest run getter in bangalore.. he don’t have this distinction in any other major grounds in india.. be it delhi, eden gardens, chennai, hyderabad or mumbai.
5) This is the first time a world’s leading run scorer was clearly 2000 runs ahead of the next in the list.
and a few others which I lost track..
Ritesh:
Can you add the stat in how many Test wins Sachin did contribute ( 100s & 50s also wickets taken). We need that also to shut the mouths
Thanks
