A Surgeon With A Knife On Cricket Field

I am very thankful to English vocab for giving such words as “Clinical” and “Precise”, sometimes feelings don’t find words & when you find them you are overwhelmed to say them, yesterday i was going through same thoughts watching Little Champion bat.

It was Clinical absolutely Clinical heart bypass surgery performed yesterday on the privileged “ROOP SINGH STADIUM” of Gwalior.There have been few great batsman i have seen with the cricket bat in their hands who had the audacity , ruthless approach , footwork , balance , hand eye coordination , anticipation , shot execution , everything but even they were not blessed with that precise dimensioning of cricketing angles with the bat on the cricket field as Sachin. Its like “A Surgeon with a Scissor in his hand, performing an intense surgery , who knows “Where to Stich” , Where to Cut” and ” How Precise
those Cuts should be “. Sachin Tendulkar’s batting strokeplay have touched that high precision value where he exactly knows what should be the Bat Angle while shot execution which could bisect the field gaps, no matter where the ball pitches or how many fielders are placed there. He is doing it at will and to make things worst for the opposition , percentage of risk which can be involved in execution of those shots has touched to minimum value.Question remains intact how to get him out if he is not willing to ?

Sitting on back foot gives you ample lot of time to check the line of ball & decide where exactly to place it.It was pure evident in Tendlya’s batting in that 3rd PowerPlay , Steyn was trying to ball fuller outside offstump with packed offside field , balls were perfectly pitched to play them through covers & extra covers on the frontfoot , but angles were all cut for these shots and it was very rare to find gaps through fielders to get boundaries.Tendlya decided the other way he waited for these balls on backfoot, bat angle was tilted to the right of fielder sitting at Point , and ball exactly flew to the right of point for a boundary.To make things worst in the same over from Steyn he took a ball from almost 6th stump on the off and hit it towards square leg,that awe expression on Steyn’s face said it all “How did he do that” ?


Not only the precise angles of bat , Tendulkar was hitting the SA left armer Van Der Merve inside out with easy from the crease & stepping down , whichever way he wanted to.There were some powerful blows which went all the way , still showing the power he can generate with the bat even at the age of 36.

When a batsman appears on a cricket field , he is entitled to play according to the circumstances he has been put in , he has to play according to the dimension of the game.

When a Genius steps on cricket field the whole game is entitled to be played according to the will of the genius , he is the one who decides the tempo of the game , he is the one who decides when to do what when to accelerate , when to defend , when to took on bowlers and when to play subdued.

I have always believed “A Genius Is The One WHo Gives New Dimensions To The Game; Rather Playing According To The Dimensions Given To Him.” There was Great Napoleon who quoted “Impossible is the Adjective of Fools “.Most of human beings don’t go with the quote within themselves, we all do things which have been done before by some individual .Things which are not materialized yet are termed as “Impossible” , can’t be achieved kinda stuffs.

A Pioneer comes who performs those “Impossible Tasks” and makes them achievable. Once the feats are achieved by a Genius those feats look probable , if not easy to achieve for others . Those others can’t be termed as Genius , “Genius are Pioneers of Human Deeds in this World ” , they make the roads to the Impossible looking targets , Rest of the World just walks on the roads to achieve the same target.

Sachin Tendulkar has been the same Pioneering Genius on the cricket field & the methods and targets set by him will be follwed & achieved but he will remain the only Genius who showed everyone the road to achieve to those targets.
