Curator Polonowita mocks at Dhoni’s allegation
Sri Lankan National curator Anuruddha Polonowita has questioned the complaints of Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni regarding the practice pitches at Dambulla.
Earlier on Saturday, MS Dhoni miffed with the wet pitch at the Rangiri Stadium and walked out of the practice session and headed towards the hotel where team is put up. Dinesh Karthik injured his hand because of the unpredictable bounce of the poor pitch.
But, the Indian complaints didn’t cut much ice with Polonowita. He mocked at the Indian side saying, ”I do not know what sort of tracks to prepare for a side which was bowled out for 88 on a batting-friendly strip.”
He clarified, ”I don’t understand what kind of wickets they (India) want. The other day, on a beautiful batting wicket, they were bowled out for 88. Now, they don’t want to play on the practice wickets”.
It’s noticeable that New Zealand batsmen managed to score 288 batting first, but Indians failed against the spoungy bounce and gave up against the Kiwi bowlers.
Now, the wounded Indian Cricket Team must play up to it’s potential and beat the home team in order to reply back the curator.
